Gabriel Siles-Brügge

Gabriel Siles-Brügge is a Reader in Public Policy at the University of Warwick, having previously worked at the Universities of Manchester and Oxford Brookes. His research sits at the interface of EU Studies, International Political Economy and Public Policy - where he has a longstanding interest in the politics of trade and investment agreements. Gabriel's work has examined, amongst other things, the role of economic ideas and quantification in policymaking and civil society contestation of economic integration, including down to the municipal level. He is the (co-)author of the books Constructing European Union Trade Policy: A Global Idea of Europe (2014, Palgrave) and TTIP: The Truth about the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (2016, Polity). Gabriel is currently a Scientific Advisor on Trade Policy to the European Public Health Alliance and a Specialist Advisor to the UK House of International Trade Committee.
