Julinda Beqiraj
Dr. Julinda Beqiraj is Maurice Wohl Senior Research Fellow in European Law at the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law (British Institute of International and Comparative Law - BIICL). At the Bingham Centre she leads and develops the research and events programme in European law, including trade and human rights issues, and publishes high quality research for the Institute in these areas. She also contributes to the Bingham Centre’s work on Access to Justice and has worked extensively on Rule of Law and Access to Justice issues, including in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals.
She holds a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from the Institute for International Political Studies in Milan and a PhD from the School of International Studies (Trento, Italy). Prior to joining the Bingham Centre in 2014, she worked for several years as research fellow and lecturer in international law at the University of Trento, lecturing courses on WTO law and international and EU law.
Dr. Beqiraj’s research interests cover international economic law, international migration and human rights’ protection, including with an EU focus, and the rule of law and development.
