Stefania Lovo
Stefania Lovo is an Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Reading, UK. Prior to this Stefania was a Research Officer at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the LSE. At the University of Reading Stefania conducts research that lies at the intersection of development economics and environmental economics, with a focus on policy impact evaluations. In particular, she has investigated how deforestation interacts with ethnic diversity and institutional quality, how trade affects firm productivity, and how environmental policies impact on firm location, international trade and firm performance. Stefania is also a visiting Fellow at the Centre for Globalisation Research and a consultant for the World Bank. With LSE Consulting, Stefania has contributed to various Sustainability Impact Assessments in support of EU trade negotiations with Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico and Mercosur. Stefania holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Sussex and a PhD in Economics and Finance from the University of Verona.
